More than a movie, soundtrack, and book, REBUILDING TWILIGHT is a multi-format sensory experience that tells the story of a place that represents dreams, realities, emotions, memories, and personal evolution.
Through all formats, the audience is welcomed onto its grounds, into its walls, and allowed to feel the energy and sensations that give life to the Bella Swan House in St. Helens, Oregon.
The symbolism of the House touches the lives of those who look to its structure as a beacon on the journey through adolescence into adulthood. REBUILDING TWILIGHT is the love letter to these people.
The House has been rescued, restored, and returned to cinema accuracy so that people, not just fans, can visit and experience the massages Twilight conveys: from awkward and alone, out of place and isolated, to belonging and hope. REBUILDING TWILIGHT encapsulates and evokes the emotions in every format of the project so that we can all celebrate the culture that feels like family, forever.

Jason Clevering came to know TWILIGHT via his mother, Bonnie, who served as Kristen Stewarts’ Hair Designer on ECLIPSE and BREAKING DAWN 1 AND 2. He understood the importance that the books and films meant to a legion of fans, seeing it first hand when he attended the London premiere of the first BREAKING DAWN with the Cast..
It wasn’t until April 2025, when Jason travelled to the Swan House to direct a series of short films with Bonnie where she relived her experiences on the film sets that he truly understood the meaning of the House on a subconscious, visceral level. The feelings that he had climbing the stairs to the front door, meandering through the living room, and ultimately crossing the threshold into possibly the most recognizable teenagers’ bedroom ever to span the silver screen was only comparable as Jason says, “to standing in the Sistine Chapel. You don’t need to be Catholic to see hundreds of people with their mouths agape, sobbing along the walls with the rush of emotions that overcome them to understand the meaning of that room to a large group of humanity. There is an energy that resides long after the human has lingered and left the chapel. The House has a similar meaning and effect.”
Late one night, sitting alone in the dining room of the House, Jason listened to the House speak. Not in a ghostly sense, but in a manner that made him recollect his journey through adolescence. The creak in the stairs when the wind blew brought back a memory of midwest storms in his grandparents house, and how he felt safety, protection, and comfort in their home. In those middle-of-the-night moments, there is a vibration, an energy, that gives the House life, and a resonance of the meaning this “Cathedral to a Culture” emanates. That night, an epiphany occurred and Jason realized every facet of REBUILDING TWILIGHT.

Feature length in duration, principal photography will begin in January 2026 through June 2026 with 18 days at the House in early May 2026. Other locations include Joshua Tree, CA, Forks, WA, Texas Canyon, AZ, Dripping Springs, TX, and Kokomo, IN.
Utilizing many of the modern filmmaking tools such as drones, dactyl cameras, steadi-cam, and anamorphic lenses, the production will not only capture the emotions of the Neufeld Family, but also a group of individuals from around the world that will share their intimate stories of how and why they gravitated to the culture of Twilight, but also how they identified with the characters and stories to overcome adversity, loss, despair and turn the corner of life triumphantly.
Post-production will include significant use of CGI, VFX, and AI to further immerse the audience into the visual recognition of the subconscious and subliminal through abstract motion sequences and artistic representations of the human experience. Additionally, REBUILDING TWILIGHT has acquired the original Roger Deakins “Deakinizer” Filters that will be utilized “emotionally” the cinematography.

The REBUILDING TWILIGHT soundtrack, titled “THE MIXTAPE”, is more than a collection of compositions, songs, and artists. The album is an acoustic landscape brought to life by the unique sounds of the House.
While at the House in April 2024, Jason Clevering envisioned bringing the voice of the House to the preliminary score he was writing while developing the REBUILDING TWILIGHT project. Jason placed microphones on unique parts of the House and then processed those sounds through synthesis procedures to create the sound of musical instruments. The window in Bella’s room that Edward uses is now the sound of a haunting violin, the stairs are a felt piano, and the rotary phone on the wall in the kitchen is a brass quintet.
Each one of those sounds/instruments will be given to one of the fifteen artists that will record original songs for the soundtrack. Those tracks will be recorded at some of the most legendary studios around the world, and the process captured in a documentary by 10-time Emmy Winner, Logan Cascia. Additionally, Lyle Workman’s score for the film will bring life to visuals on screen with an emotive, hypnotic soundscape that further evokes deep emotions from the audience.

Rebuilding Twilight the book is told in 1st person voice from the perspective of the House, written and designed in diary format with images, poems, narrative, and emotion. It vocalizes the House’s journey from the lone structure on the street in 1935, through the growth of the town, to the day when it was discovered by the production team of the first Twilight film. The House recalls the day that the Swan Family “moved in” during production. And while they were filming a movie, the House felt the responsibility to shelter a single father trying to raise his daughter in a place that was solitude for the two of them as they both struggled with change.
After falling into a severe state of disrepair, a family searching for a safer home for their severely autistic son to live in found the House on Zillow. Fate allowed Amber and Dean Neufeld to purchase the House. Beginning as a need to rescue the House so that it could live on in meaning and memory to the millions of Twilight fans, the next several years was a journey to restore the House to cinema accuracy. They rediscovered the film props and furnishings, opened the doors for overnight vacation stays, and evolved their passion into an experience that allowed so many people to understand the emotions and meaning the House has meant to them for decades.
Now considered the fourth family member of the Neufeld family, through personal recollections and feelings, the House reflects on its growth from humble beginnings to international stardom, culminating in its status as a monument to overcoming the odds and enduring the challenges we all have faced at one moment or another in our lives.
